The Story So Far
Perhaps my purpose is to foster connection, to comfort and entertain through story because the words flow through me with ease and joy. The cadence of language, the extras, the in between, the B-roll. Often this is the best bit.
Screenplays and writing dialogue are my number one love, quickly followed by dogs that look like cartoons but actually exist in real life. I write rom-coms with a twist, rom-coms with zero twist and am working on a series. I have a BA in Theatre and Film (which is real) and a minor in Dogs with a PhD in Beaches (self-awarded).
A long time ago in a land far, far away, in the magical kingdom of Alberta, my mom told me how highly she thought of a story I’d written. Sure, it was based off of the camp counselors that teenage me had a crush on at the time, but she thought it was something special. That said, my mom is the best mom the world has ever seen so take this with a grain of sea salt. Now, all these years later…what if she was right (write)?
